Once again i’m teaching a workshop on programming for the iPhone using the iPhone SDK at Machine Project. The course is designed to be a good introduction to Xcode, Objective-C and making real-world applications for the AppStore. We won’t cover the basics of programming, so some programming experience is required.

Doing a one-night workshop September 23 on Regular Expressions at The Public School. We’ll cover the basics of understanding Regex syntax, using Regex in a few popular languages, and look a few common use cases. More info here.

Silent was created algorithmically using silent films and audio processing. More about the piece coming soon.

Leading a reading group along with Sarah Kessler at The Public School on American Pragmatism. We’ll focus primarily on Rorty, but start with discussions of Dewey and James. There will also be a few readings by Stanley Fish and Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak.

The class will have three meetings on July 12, 26, and August 9.

I’ll be performing my piece John Henry von Neumann at Machine Project from 10-6 on Sunday June 28th. Come watch me compete against a computer to complete a drawing in an eight-hour workday. I will use pen and paper while the computer uses a plotter. More info on the Machine Project site.
